Deportation Removal Proceedings

Deportation/Removal Proceedings

Deportation proceedings occur when the government orders that a non-citizen be removed from the United States, usually due to purported violations of the law.

It is recommended that you consult with an attorney to discuss your options – you may be eligible for relief from deportation and an attorney can advise you about how to proceed. Frontera Law has years of experience assisting clients who are going through removal proceedings.  Please reach out as soon as possible so that we may help you navigate this challenging situation.

If you have been detained, you may ask for an immigration bond.

An immigration bond is money paid to the government in exchange for the release of a detainee from detention.  It is meant to ensure that the person being detained will show up to court hearings.  If the individual misses a court date, the government will keep the money. However, if the individual does show up to all hearings and complies with the Court’s requirements, the money will be given back to the payee at the end of the proceedings.

You must have legal status in the United States to be able to post bond.
